Thinking of building one or two Ristau Motors or possibly manufacturing thousands of them? Good news! There are very few terms and conditions to do so. Generally speaking, if you own a UIN, you are a licensed manufacturer.
Detailed information for manufacturing a Ristau Motor will be made available for UIN owners/manufacturers on request.
This leaves you in an awkward position as a potential manufacturer. The questions being: Do you have the equipment to make Ristau Motors? The demonstration motors were made almost entirely using a 3-axis CNC machine and a CNC lathe. Precision is critically important. The Materials in the demonstration Ristau Motors are primarily 7075 aluminum, 6061 aluminum, 316 stainless steel and Teflon. These materials are fine for Hobby milling and prototyping but for larger scale production, casting is advised as well as research into the proper materials for your specific application. The Ristau Motor is scaleable in size for any application but an average of roughly 1 cubic foot in size is anticipated as standard.
In order to manufacture Ristau Motors you are required to first purchase the rights to manufacture them in the form of UIN. If you own Pre-sale UIN they must be converted to production UIN which can be done on this website free of charge. Each Ristau Motor is required to have its corresponding UIN printed, stamped or permanently affixed to each block/housing (Each housing has two halves. The same UIN being used on both halves designated “A” and “B” respectively).
With the purchase of standard UIN each manufacturer will be supplied with a manual including specs dimensions and assembly of a basic Ristau Motor. You are free to make modifications to suit your purposes. The manual will be made available to manufacturers via secure download and can be delivered by mail in the form of a flash drive coded for your company upon request. The information in the manual is for your use only and is not permitted to be posted or shared online.
Modifications to the Ristau Motor may be made to suit your needs. Modifications are required to be submitted to Ristau LLC. for review prior to the sale of your model to the general public (The process will be outlined in your manual). A prototype of modified Ristau Motors may be requested for testing on production volumes of more than 100 depending on the nature of the modification. Ristau LLC will record the changes as they relate to quality and interchangeability with other versions in production. Ristau Motors will not restrict your ability to sell modified units but may document endorsements or disclaimers on the RistauMotor.com website. You are encouraged to use your own identification numbers and branding on the Ristau Motors that you produce. Ristau Motors have no guarantees or warranties express or implied in terms of liability. Guarantees and warranties can be made by your company for the Ristau Motors that you produce as a result of your own testing.
The price to purchase UIN from Ristau LLC. will remain a nominal proportion of the retail value of a Ristau Motor which is projected to be the greater of $5 or 2% of average retail price once an overall average market price is established.
